Free Dinner
I met Tom on eharmony's free communication weekend. The problem with this was that I couldn't see Tom's picture. Now attraction is not solely based on looks, but it definitely plays a part. Tom and I emailed back and forth a bit and he seems to be like an okay guy. After a few days I finally asked him to email me a picture. Not cute in the slightest. I also have a theory that most men take horrible pictures. Though from looking at his picture it didn't seem like my margin for better looking in person would help much. Plus he lied about being "slightly over weight" he wasn't a fat kid who ate cake everyday but he was closer to the end of the table where the cake was situated. Believing in my most everyone deserves a chance (or at least the chance to buy me dinner) I agreed to let Tom take me out. I slightly knew going in that he would just be free dinner unless he was way super amazing and magnificent. The first won in the end. He was 10 minutes late and dressed alright but he was wearing gym shoes. I don't expect a suit and tie, but at a minimum don't wear the same shoes that you get nasty sweaty in to take me out. He took me to Red Robin, our dinner conversation consisted of drinking, what he helps with at church, and how half the worship team is hangover on Sunday mornings. After dinner we did a quick lap around the bottom floor of the mall before he had time to ask me to do anything else I told him that I needed to go and check on one of my clients before it got to late. I didn't really need to check on a client but one did ask me to stop by if I had time so I used it as an excuse. He then followed me to my car to switch I quickly got into and I said thanks for dinner as I was backing out.
Onto the next one....
Nice guys do finish last
A friend of mine decided to set me up. As I began to talk to NW he seemed like a great guy and in truth he really is. However when I met him there just wasn't any chemistry there for me. I did have fun on our date and I hope we remain friends.
And onto the next one...
I'm dating and it's interesting. Come along for the ride. Please be aware that there may be offensive language and sexual content in my blog.

Return of the Penis Picture
Online dating has thus begun again, although DD isn't totally out of the picture (part of me hopes he realizes what he's missing out on and quickly remedies that) I have decided to see what else is out there in my spare time. and YES there is a date this friday so there is at least one more blog update after this.
In the past week I have weeded through a few creepers and one of them is the infamous penis picture man. I mean really???? You send me a picture of your penis, I say no way. A month or so later you attempt to communicate with me again, I say no and now 6 months later you try again? How stupid does he think I am? Like Im going to forget that he sent me a crotch shot? There are some things in life that you just can't unsee. Here is my response to him after this past attempt.
He did respond back to me saying that he regretted sending it and asked if I would give him a second chance. My answer was still the same: Seriously, I'm not interested.
As always.....Onto the Next One!

The Curse of the D Continues...
It's been awhile since the last update so I hope you enjoy!
Too much Dustin
Dustin was the last guy I met on match.com. He was nice but he was just a little bit too into me. On our second and final date he told me that when he looked at me he wasn't sure if I was real or an angel and when he looked in my eyes he had to remember to keep breathing. Yay those are sweet things to say but the way he said it just creeped me out. Onto the next one...
And the curse of the D continues...
Excuses
Back in December my cousins came out to visit and on one of the nights went out to dinner with a college friend. My cousin that I live with thought we might hit it off and she was right we did. DD is a right guy at the wrong time. Just about as soon as we started talking about a billion things in his life went crazy, one right after the other. He was sick, his new puppies were sick, a pipe burst in his condo and flooded it, gave himself a concussion at work, client emergency, forced to go into the office by his boss, got sick again, parents got sick, once he even forgot we had plans, more puppy emergencies, and a few others I'm probably forgetting. For whatever reason I chose to be understanding and forgiving. He wasn't from the Internet, he came highly recommended, he wasn't a creeper and I actually like him and get along with him very well. I kept giving him the benefit of the doubt because all his reasons for canceling and rescheduling were legitimate reasons outside his control. After about four months I started to get frustrated. I want a real relationship, he is trying to get his life back in order after all of his craziness. In the processes of doing that I feel like I've become less important to him. I found that I was the one calling him, texting him and trying to make plans with him. That's not the type of relationship I want. When I talked to him about it he said he'd be better and he was for about a week. To aid in my attempt to not be so upset about when he cancelled on me I made a bingo card with all his excuses and would mark them off as he called and cancelled. I told myself I would give it till the end of June but I don't think I'll make it that far. I feel like I've compromised what I want out of a relationship in order to try and make this one work and that's just not me. I've decided to stop trying to make it work. If he wants a relationship with me then he can call me and I will lay it out for him and he can decide if he can really commit to being in an actual relationship with me. I'm done wasting my time and energy into something that he's not investing in. We make time for the things that are important to us. He's not making time for me, so why should I?
Only time will tell if it's onto the next one..... (I'll be sure and update when the decision has been made)
